24^th Annual Regional Aquatics Workshop

June 7-11^th, 2010                                                                          

Dear Industry Colleague,

For the 24^th time, the RAW (Regional Aquatics Workshop) is fast approaching.  RAW will be hosted this year by Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska in June 2010.  We are excited to be the first aquarium to host twice and hope to have as successful workshop as we did back in 1997.  Back then, RAW was much smaller and probably much easier to plan!

The purpose of our yearly conference is to provide a forum for the presentation, discussion and dissemination of information detailing captive maintenance and husbandry practices in large scale aquaria.  It is also a great time to see old friends, meet new ones and talk fish for days!  RAW normally draws a wide range of aquarium folks like Directors, Curators, Aquarists, Life Support Operators and Aquatic wholesalers and distributors from zoos and aquariums all over North America, Europe and sometimes as far away as Asia and Australia!

With over 200 attendees expected, this conference provides an excellent venue to showcase your company’s products and speak one on one with potential customers from many different institutions.  RAW 2010 will begin June 7^th with the annual TAG (Taxon Advisory Groups) meetings.  The first full day of paper sessions will begin on June 8^th and conclude June 10^th.  On June 11^th, we will be having a full day Coral Symposium.  We will be having a few scheduled evening social events at the zoo and around town.  We will also be having a hospitality suite at the hotel to facilitate more networking opportunities among conference attendees and sponsors.
