How to organize and plan your 2018 RAW presentation:
2018 RAW Poster Presentation Guidelines:
Registration is now open for RAW 2018 in beautiful, sunny Tampa Florida. The RAW 2018 conference is all about caring for animals, each other, and the Blue Planet. Registration includes admission to the conference, the aquarium and to the three evening events. If you register before January 15th, you will get the special early-bird rate. And don’t forget to pre order your t-shirt when you register (it’s cheaper than buying it at the conference), and make sure to book your hotel room at the Embassy Suites – rooms will fill up fast!
For the professional development courses these are the descriptions:
Leadership Workshop
You don’t have to have a title or be in charge to be a leader. In this workshop you will discover your DISC profile and learn how to use your strengths to positively influence others. We will discover the different types of influence and further develop communication skills which will help you in your current role.
Animal Training Workshop
Learn how to train animals to participate in their own care while minimizing their stress and yours. This one-day course taught by Precision Behavior will cover key elements to successful animal training and includes hands on training sessions with The Florida Aquarium’s animal residents.
Coral School 2018
***THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL***
We’re adding another offering to RAW – a coral school! It will be a learning experience through lecture and hands-on wetlabs for public aquarium biologists with an interest in coral biology and care. The target audience includes professional biologists with at least 1 – 3 years of general experience and an interest in coral husbandry.Coral School Information and Application:
