Call for Abstracts

RAW 2022 is pulling out of the station and we’ll be updating the website over the next week so check in often.  The RAW Program Committee is soliciting program content to pull together a great slate of presentations.  Please read through the submission documents and instructions and prepare to tell the aquatics community all that you’ve been up to over the past few years.  Workshop registration and sponsorship notices will be coming soon.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The 33rd Regional Aquatic Workshop, will be held in Galveston, TX from February 20-26, 2022, and promises to be another signature meeting of great presentations and wonderful networking opportunities.

We are calling upon presenters to submit abstracts for

  • 20-minute oral presentations (15 minutes presenting plus 5 minutes of questions).
  • New for this year, submissions for 5-minute presentations will also be encouraged.
  • Poster

If you would like to present during the RAWdemic, please carefully follow the instructions for authors and submit the abstract to the program committee via the google form.

The 33rd Regional Aquatic Workshop

Early in the 21st Century aquariums face an uncertain future. Emerging technologies, an increased information bandwidth, and a society increasingly connected, present a range of new challenges and new opportunities. For the 33rd RAW we are asking authors to submit contributions that inform how aquariums will operate further into 21st Century.

Areas of focus during the meeting will include:

  • Animal Welfare and Welfare Assessments
  • Covid Adaptation (Rising Above, Positive Outcomes)
  • Institutional/Industry Knowledge Retention/Transfer
  • Coral Conservation and Science
  • Sustainable Collections
  • Aquarium Staff Diversity
  • Conservation
  • Larval Culture
  • Life Support Systems
  • Water Quality

All submissions will be considered, but submissions are encouraged in these domains.
